| Abstract: | Nickel(II), copper(II) and zinc(II) complexes of a new quadridentate Schiffbase formed by the condensation of S-benzyldithiocarbazate and benzil, have been synthe- sized and characterized by elemental analysis, magnetic and spectroscopic measurements. The nickel complex Ni(SNNS)] is diamagnetic and square-planner, the copper complex [Cu(SNNS)] is paramagnetic and square-planner structure is proposed for this complex [Zn(SNNS)] is presumably a tetrahedral one. |
