| dc.description.abstract | Solid chelates of Cr(III), Fe(III), Co(III), Ru(III), Rh(III) and Ir(III) with 3-methyl-4-benzylideneimino- 5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazole (HBMT) have been synthesized and characterised by physicochemical techniques. The ligand acts as a monoprotic, bidentate ligand coordinating through nitrogen and sulphur donor sites. The complexes have 1:3 (metal-ligand) stoichiometry. Magnetic data coupled with electronic and ligand field parameters suggest low-spin octahedral geometries for these chelates. | en_US |
