| Abstract: | Complexes of Ni(II), Co(II) and Mn(II) with 2-benzoyJpyridine anthraniloylbydrazone (LH) and with bis(2-benzoylpyridine) benzildihydrazone (L') have been prepared and characterised. LH acts as either a neutral tridentate (N,N,O) donor or as a monobasic tridentate (N,N,O) donor. L' functions as a neutral quadridentate (N,N,N,N) donor. |
