Abstract: Reactions of BiCl3/Bi(NO3)3.5H2O with S-alkyl derivatives of 2-aminocyclopentene-1-carbodithioic acids in 1:1 molar ratio in refluxing THF solution yield the simple addition products(2), whereas the reactions of BiCl3 with sodium salts of 2-alkyl-aminocyclopentene-1-carbodithioic acids in 1:3 molar ratio lead to the formation of the simple tris-complexes (5). These compounds have been characterised by elemental analyses, molecular weight determinations and IR and PMR spectral data.
