| Abstract: | Zirconium(IV) ion-selective coated wire electrode has been prepared and is found to be selective for Zr(IV) ion in the presence of Fe(III), Al(III), Cr(III), La(III), Sn(IV) and Th(IV) ions. Electrode shows linear response down to a concentration of 1x 10-4 mol dm-3. The response time of the electrode is 20 sec. The electrode acts as an excellent indicator electrode in the precipitation titration of zirconium nitrate against sodium hydrogen phosphate. |
