| Abstract: | Dimethyltellurium dipseudohalides [(CH3)2Te(X’)2; X' =CN, NCO and N3] have been synthesised. Reactions of (CH3)2Te(N3)2 with Ph3P and (CH3)4N]+Cl- yield (CH3)2Te(N=PPh3)2 and the anionic complex [(CH3)4N]+[(CH3)2Te(N3)2Cl]- respectively. All the dipseudohalides and their reaction products have been characterized through elemental analyses, molar conductances, molecular weights, IR and 1H NMR data. |
