| Abstract: | Te4[AsF6]2 reacts with Mo(CO)6 in CH3CN in 1:1 molar ratio to yield light blue crystals corresponding to the compound [Te3Mo(CH3CN)4]2+ [AsF6] .2CH3CN. It has been characterised through elemental analyses, IR, Raman and NMR (lH and 13C) spectroscopy. The reaction of Te4[AsF6]2 with MO(CO)6 in 1:2 molar ratio in CH3CN and that of Te4[AsF6]2 with MO(CO)3.3CH3CN (in situ) gives the same compound (IR, Raman evidence). |
