| Abstract: | Present study focuses on the seasonal variation in coliforms and the total bacterial load in estuarine waters of the South Karnataka from October 2013 to September 2014. The temperature and salinity of the waters were found to be in normal range and there were significant differences in total bacterial count and total Vibrio counts found study sites. From the seasonal variation study, it revealed that the coliforms and total bacterial count were highest during the monsoon and post monsoon season. |
