| Abstract: | The present study deals with the first record of Trachicephalus uranoscopus and its morphological descriptions from Chilika lagoon, Odisha coast of India. The species (T. uranoscopus) as well as the family (Synanceiidae) are new additions to the ichthyofaunal diversity of the lagoon. |
