| dc.description.abstract | Six vibrant coloured Sweeper fish or pempherid, Pempheris malabarica were collected from Digha Mohana of West Bengal and Chandipur fish landing centre of Odisha coast. For the first time this paper reports the family Pempheridae from West Bengal coast and occurrence of species P. malabarica in Odisha coast.
