Abstract: Liver surgery is considered highly intricate among surgical procedures due to its substantial risks and potential for complications. Liver failure after hepatic resection, a severe complication occurring in approximately 8-10% of patients undergoing significant liver surgery, stands as the primary cause of morbidity and mortality. Appropriate surgical techniques and intensive care management are important in preventing. This study outlines risk factors, occurrence, prevention and management of liver failure after hepatic surgery.
