Abstract: Seven-membered oxacylce containing triquinane derivatives have been synthesized in good yields by employing ringclosing metathesis (RCM), ring-opening metathesis (ROM), and the ring-rearrangement metathesis (RRM) as key steps. All the compounds have been characterized by NMR data. The key building blocks have been obtained starting with a commercially available dicyclopentadiene.
