| Abstract: | This study documents a new distribution record of a species of marine gastropod, i.e., Pterynotus alatus (Röding, 1798), belonging to the family Muricidae from Odisha coast, India. This gastropod species was collected from the intertidal region of Balukhand-Konark Wildlife Sanctuary, Odisha. The detailed characteristics of the shell, habitat, distribution of species elsewhere, and illustrations are provided here. |
