| Abstract: | Thermal rearrangement of 6-[N-(4/-aryloxybut-2-ynyl)N-methylamino]coumarins in refluxing N,N-DEA has led to Claisen rearrangement at the aryloxypropargyl segment resulting in the formation of N-(4/-coumarinylmethyl),N-methylcoumarins in excellent yield. |
