dc.description.abstract1-Butyl-4-aza-1-azoniabicyclo[2.2.2]octane chlorochromate (BAAOC) in the presence of AlCl3 affords an efficient and mild system for oxidation of a variety of alcohols, giving the corresponding aldehydes and ketones in refluxing acetonitrile. The experimental procedure is simple and the products are isolated straightforward in good to excellent yields.en_US
