dc.description.abstractBioethics is a multidisciplinary concept related to a large number of areas such as science, medicine, environment, social sciences, economics and law. The progress in science, especially biotechnology, has benefited mankind in many ways but has generated a large number of ethical issues too. In agriculture, the long-term effects of the self-terminator gene technology are discussed. The ill effects of agricultural chemicals are described along with the development of eco-friendly molecules as pesticides, insecticides, etc. It is opined that bioethics can be a major tool for evolving universally acceptable solutions.en_US
