Abstract: | The view is presented that Library Schools aim at training professional personnel grounded in the fundamental principles and processes common to all types of libraries and all phases of library service. The study focuses 011 the historical development of the Library School in Ghana, its programmes, admission requirements, areas of specialization and training facilities. Recommendations are made for changes in the curriculum in order to meet the complex nature of information provision in the modem society. |
