On the possibilities offered by UDC and some descriptor retrieval systems - A comparative study

Abstract

<span style="font-size:10.0pt;line-height: 115%;font-family:" calibri","sans-serif";mso-fareast-font-family:"times="" new="" roman";="" mso-bidi-font-family:"times="" roman";mso-ansi-language:en-us;mso-fareast-language:="" en-us;mso-bidi-language:ar-sa"="" lang="EN-US">Observations, in the light of some experiments, are made on the comparative efficiency of the UDC and descriptor retrieval systems. The grammar and logic of the two systems are analyzed and compared with search examples.
