| Abstract: | Silicon (IV) aryloxides of the types MenSi(OAr)4-n (OAr= OC6H3Me2-3,4; OC6H3Me2-3,5; OC6H3Pri2- 2,6; OC6H2Me3-2,4,6; OC6H3But2-2,6; OC6H2But3- 2,4,6; n = 1,2 and 3), Si(OC6But2-2,6)4, CISi-(OC6H3Pri2-2,6)3, CI2Si(OC6H3But-2,6)2 and Cl3Si (OC6H3But2,6) have been prepared by chloride-aryloxide exchange reactions and characterized by elemental analysis, molecular weight measurements, IR and 1H, 13C and 29Si NMR studies. |
