A new flavonol glycoside from the seeds of <i>Zea Mays</i>

Abstract

The flavonol glycoside, together with known compound quercetin has been isolated from the ethyl acetate extract of methanolic extract of the seeds of locally grown <i>Zea Mays</i>. The two isolated flavonoid compounds been have identified on the basis of UV, IR, ¹HNMR, ¹³C-NMR, COSY, DEPT 45, DEPT 90, DEPT 135 and mass spectral data.
